The exhibition includes two of Toby’s most accomplished projects:
The Renewables Project is a unique photographic vision of the Hydroelectric Landscapes of Scotland mid-winter. Nocturnal icy vistas combine with brutalist structures in this award-winning series of large-format images.
Light After Dark, Toby’s first project to get him major international recognition, is an artistic, nocturnal photographic study of Britain’s power stations. Using long exposures to capture the stark structures, bathed in ambient atmospheric light to create a looming, otherworldly presence.
Both projects reflect Toby’s individualistic approach, and his passion for the topics of energy, sustainability, and the environment. Both projects have been published by National Geographic, amongst other leading titles internationally.
